Diese Seite ist "gut zugänglich" nach BITV BIK Bitv-Test Access Keys Most (not all) browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the web site. These keys are called 'access keys'. The following access keys are available throughout karlsruhe.de: 0 = one level up 1-9 = links in the navigation a = homepage b = top of the page d = privacy policy h = help i = impressum k = contact s = search t = textversion u = sitemap v = tell a friend All access keys are shown by the tooltips Usage of Access Keys With Different Browsers Browsers handle Access keys different: Microsoft Internet Explorer (v. 4+) Alt+Access key, Enter Netscape (v. 6+) Alt+Access key Mozilla (all) Alt+Access key Opera (v 6+) Shift+Esc, Access key Konqueror (3.3+) Ctrl, Access key Safari (1.2+), Omniweb (5.1) Ctrl+Access key Camino, Galeon Not yet Standard Compliance All pages comply with priority 1 guidelines of the W3 Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and the FRG BITV (Barrierefreie Informationstechnik-Verordnung). All pages validate as XHTML 1 Transitional. Navigation Aids All pages have meta-links (copyright, home, sitemap, help, textversion, language versions) to aid navigation in text-only browsers and screen readers. Mozilla users can also take advantage of this feature. Opera 7 has similar functionality. Content is internally ordered as following: Center Column, Right Column, Navigation. Textbrowser and screenreader therefore see the main content first. This also works when navigating with the TAB key. All pages have a hidden link for quick jump to the navigation. Pages use structured semantic markup. All tables have properly scoped header cells, to allow screen readers to render them intelligently. Where required, tables also have a caption and a summary. There are no Javascript pseudo-links Visual Design This site use cascading style sheets for visual layout. If your browser or browsing device does not support stylesheets at all, the content of each page is still readable. The layout is completely liquid, simply filling its viewport (window). This site should work with PDAs without any modifications. It happily accommodates resizing text and, as relative units have been used, text can even be re-sized in Internet Explorer for Windows.
